About

Evan R. Goldfischer, MD, MBA, is a board-certified urologist, member of the Endourological Society, and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his MD from Cornell University and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Goldfischer did his residency in urology at the University of Chicago Hospitals and was an endourology fellow under Arthur D. Smith, M.D., known as the “father of endourology.”

Dr. Goldfischer is the editor-in-chief and a contributing author of Practice Management for Urology Groups and the author of Even Urologists Get Kidney Stones. He has published more than 115 abstracts, articles, and newsletters for peer-reviewed medical journals based on his experiences and research outcomes. He has appeared on Fox News and hosted the Dr. Love radio show, focused on men’s health, on WPDH-FM for 17 years.

In 1998, Dr. Goldfischer joined three other doctors at Hudson Valley Urology. Upon becoming the practice’s co-CEO in 2008, he initiated its transformation into a multi-specialty group. In 2010, the practice’s name was changed to Premier Medical Group of the Hudson Valley, which today has 14 offices in four New York counties. He launched the Premier Cares Foundation in 2011 to provide support and education to people in the community who lack the funds to address significant health issues.

Dr. Goldfischer received the 2008 Health Care Heroes award from Hudson Valley Parent and Hudson Valley Life magazines. In 2012 he received the Headliner Award and Out of the Box Innovator award from the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce. He has received numerous other awards for his research and written articles on urology, including a fellowship from the National Kidney Foundation of New York/New Jersey.

Dr. Goldfischer is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Urological Association, Society of Endourology, Dutchess County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society, the American College of Physician Leadership, and the Urology Care Foundation. A fan of stage magic, he is also a member of the Society of American Magicians and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He serves on the board of directors of the Large Urology Group Practice Association, Urology Care Foundation, Premier Cares Foundation, Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity, Bardavon/UPAC Theaters Hudson Valley, and the Dutchess Day School.
